Every day, we expose our bodies to all types of toxins:

– Our freezers and pantries are filled with (delicious) processed foods. 

– We think there’s no such thing as a bad time to eat pie. (Or perhaps you’re a cake lover?)

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Day after day, year after year, we happily invite these not-so-great-for-us things into our bodies. And, while having any of these things by themselves (and in moderation) isn’t exactly the worst thing in the world, when we ingest them all the time, without giving our bodies a proper break from them.

If your body could talk to you, it would tell you that it needs your help getting back to a good place.

Think of your body as a computer. Every part of your body serves a specific, important function. When every part works properly, you can do amazing things. But, when parts start glitching or falling apart, doing those amazing things (or even the everyday things) becomes a lot more difficult. 

When computers start acting wonky, we troubleshoot. Perhaps we discover that it’s this one specific part that is messed up. So, we fix it. But, if there are a lot of things going wrong (like when it is riddled with viruses and malware), then something we can do is perform a factory reset. That’s when you basically restore your computer to the settings it was brand new. You wipe it clean and start over- without all the junk that was slowing it down and messing it up.

Sometimes, that’s what our bodies need. To be cleaned and restored.
